Details & Inspection Notes
This Mercury 250HP L is offered in warm fusion white, pearl fusion white, or cold fusion white. It combines its standard, shortest shaft with digital throttle and shift, suited to a conventional transom whose helm already runs Mercury's electronic controls.
Three white finishes
Name the specific finish when ordering rather than assuming "white" refers to a single shade.
Shaft, controls, and figures
This is the shortest shaft in the 250HP range, meant for a typical transom rather than a raised one; a taller boat should look at a longer-shaft version instead. Digital throttle and shift replaces mechanical cables with electronic inputs at the helm, so confirm compatibility with your rigging before ordering.
Q: Is the mechanical spec different by color? No, all finishes share the same engine. Mercury rates full throttle at 5200 to 6000 RPM. This powerhead displaces 4.6. Expect 527 lbs on the scale, dry.
Along with the motor you receive a tool kit, mounting hardware, and a manual. A matching propeller is sourced on its own, not included here. EFI handles fueling, and power trim and tilt handles the angle. This new unit carries Mercury Marine's standard 3-year coverage. Consider how this motor will be steered and controlled before finalizing the order. Retrofitting a different control type later adds cost and time. Painted or gelcoat-matched transoms make color-matching the motor finish worth extra attention. Confirming fitment ahead of time beats troubleshooting it at the dock after installation.
