Details & Inspection Notes
This used 20EH FourStroke is a 20 hp, two-cylinder outboard on a 15 inch shaft, with an electric starter and tiller steering, run by hand at the transom rather than from a console. Trim adjustment here is manual.
Who this fits
Tiller steering puts the operator at the back of the boat working the motor directly, common on smaller craft, jon boats, and dinghies where a console is not practical.
Running it
Built-in protection monitors oil pressure, rpm, temperature, and sensor faults, shutting things down before damage occurs. Minimum octane is 87, ethanol content up to 10 percent at most, paired with Mercury's own 25W-40 synthetic blend oil; the standard tank holds 3.2 gallons.
Because this is a used motor, ask us about logged hours and service history before ordering rather than guessing at condition from specs alone. A propeller ships with this unit, so that part of the rigging is already covered.
A tiller-steered motor like this one puts fuel tank placement and tiller reach down to personal preference; sit at the helm position before buying if you can, since comfort there is hard to judge from a listing alone.
Does it come with a propeller? Yes, a propeller is included with this motor.
What coverage comes with a used unit? Check with us on remaining factory coverage before ordering; used motors carry whatever term is left on the original Mercury warranty.
