Digital Throttle & Shift replaces the cable-driven setup on the 200HP XL FourStroke DTS, which keeps its 25 inch, extra-long shaft unchanged from its mechanical-steering sibling.

Electronic control

Measure your transom before ordering rather than assuming any single shaft length works across different hulls carrying this same powerhead. This configuration's dry weight is 475 lbs, and it runs electronic fuel injection with power trim and tilt included.

Controls and what ships with it

This version hands throttle and shift to Digital Throttle & Shift electronics in place of a mechanical cable run. Included in the box: an owner's manual, a tool kit, and mounting hardware; the propeller is not part of the package.

What your console setup needs

DTS runs on its own wiring harness, so confirm your console cutout and existing wiring can accept it, particularly if you are upgrading from an older mechanical setup rather than building fresh. This powerhead also needs a break-in period; ease into higher rpm gradually rather than running wide open right away. Keep track of logged hours early on, since that record matters later for service and resale, and for scheduling routine maintenance.
