Swap the mechanical cable-and-lever setup for Digital Throttle & Shift and you get the 200HP CXL FourStroke DTS, an electronically controlled 200 hp V-6, still offered with counter rotation for a twin install, carried on a 25 inch, extra-long shaft.

Shaft and rotation

Shaft length has to match your transom height exactly, so take that measurement before ordering instead of guessing between the lengths this family offers. This CXL configuration keeps counter rotation on the options sheet, worth a look if an opposite-rotation twin install is part of your plan.

Controls and what ships with it

Digital Throttle & Shift takes over throttle and shift duty at the helm, electronic end to end rather than running a mechanical cable back to the engine. An owner's manual, mounting hardware, and a tool kit come in the box; sourcing a propeller for your gearcase is left to you.

Budget beyond the motor

Because DTS runs on its own wiring harness, check that your boat's existing console cutout and wiring can accept it before ordering, especially if you are replacing an older mechanical setup rather than building a new console from scratch. A proper break-in period before sustained full-throttle running helps this powerhead settle in correctly.
