Details & Inspection Notes

Mercury's 15ELPT EFI pairs a 333 cc, two-cylinder block with electronic fuel injection, mounted on the long 20-inch shaft with remote throttle controls and electric start. At 114 lbs, it suits small to mid-size boats that want quick acceleration without the bulk of a bigger block.

What's under the cowl

An SOHC inline-two head gives this motor a 5700-6200 RPM full-throttle range. The propeller that ships with it is a 9.2-inch diameter, 9.1-inch pitch, three-blade aluminum wheel finished in phantom black. Fuel comes from a separate 3.2-gallon remote tank connected with a quick-connect line rather than an internal tank, so plan deck space for it.

Controls and fit to confirm

Steering and throttle on this configuration run through remote controls rather than a tiller handle, so check that your boat already has the matching control box, cables, and battery wiring. The 20-inch shaft is the long option; measure your transom before ordering. A safety lanyard stop switch is included and should be clipped to the operator whenever the motor is running.

What's in the box

Along with the propeller, Mercury includes a tool kit and owner's manual, plus the remote fuel tank and its quick-connect line.
