Details & Inspection Notes

AMD's 451-1067-L is a small stamped panel closing off the forward end of a Mopar A-Body car's rocker panel, on the driver's side. It is one of the first pieces to wear through, since it sits low and takes direct road spray, rain and snow exposure that the rest of the rocker is partly shielded from.

When to replace it

AMD recommends adding this cap any time you are installing a new rocker panel or addressing rust in the lower fender area, rather than reusing a worn original cap on otherwise new metal. Because it is a small, low-cost piece compared to the rocker panel itself, most builders replace it as a matter of course during that work.

Fitment and the other side

This LH cap fits the 1971-1972 Dodge Demon, 1971-1976 Plymouth Scamp, 1967-1969 Plymouth Barracuda, 1973-1976 Dodge Dart Sport, 1967-1976 Dodge Dart, 1967-1976 Plymouth Valiant and 1970-1976 Plymouth Duster. It covers the driver's side only; order the matching right-side cap separately if your project needs both.

Common questions

Can I reuse the original end cap with a new rocker panel? AMD treats this as a wear item to replace alongside new rocker panel work rather than carry over.

Does this come as a pair? No, this listing is the driver-side (LH) cap only.

Performance Installation & Verification Checklist

  • Disconnect vehicle battery ground terminal before installing any electrical, sensor, or powertrain hardware.
  • Inspect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness connectors for secure, leak-free engagement.
  • Calibrate electronic sensors, boost control solenoids, and ECU maps according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Perform initial datalogging check under light load before subjecting vehicle to wide-open throttle.
