Details & Inspection Notes
This kit bundles a Grant 969 Classic Nostalgia steering wheel with a Chevy horn button, a 3-bolt steering wheel adapter for GM columns, and a Grant 5891 wheel puller, so you are not hunting down the right adapter separately. The wheel itself is a 15-inch, 3-spoke slotted design with a black foam cushion grip and brushed stainless spokes, finished with a licensed Chevrolet horn button cover.
Who this fits
The included 3-bolt adapter lets you bolt an aftermarket 3-bolt wheel onto a non-telescopic GM, Ididit, or Flaming River column built between 1969 and 1994. Its hardware set covers a metal cover plate, a horn button spring, a spacer ring, a plunger spring, lead wire, and the three mounting bolts, sized with 2-3/8 in. I.D. holes for that lead wire and a standard 1/4-inch fine-thread, 3-bolt pattern; the horn button isolator plate measures 2-15/16 in. O.D.
What to check before ordering
If your column has never had a steering wheel mounted on it before, the listing notes that part number 910-64049 will also be needed alongside this adapter. The Grant 5891 puller included here uses 3-bolt pullers and its own hardware, and works on either the original factory wheel or a previously installed Grant wheel, which is handy if you ever need to pull this wheel again later.
Will this fit a telescopic steering column? No, the adapter here is for non-telescopic GM, Ididit, and Flaming River columns.
Do I need a separate puller to remove my old wheel? No, the Grant 5891 puller is included in this kit.
Wheel Fitment & Installation Guide
- Dry test-fit wheels on vehicle hub prior to mounting tires to verify brake caliper and suspension clearance.
- Confirm PCD (pitch circle diameter), center bore sizing, and use hub-centric centering rings where required.
- Hand-thread all lug nuts or bolts first, then torque in a star pattern to vehicle manufacturer specifications.
- Re-torque all wheel fasteners after the first 50–100 miles (80–160 km) of road use.
