Details & Inspection Notes

The Global West COMNR-6265D is a complete front coilover conversion for 1962-65 Ford Falcons with a small-block engine, built around Global West's Negative Roll Geometry double A-arm design and QA1 double-adjustable coilover shocks that let you set bump and rebound separately.

What this kit changes up front

New upper and lower A-arms replace the factory arms, and billet upper shock mounts plus redesigned tower supports carry the longer coilover shock, which Global West says gives the front end around 9 inches of travel. A sway bar and adjustable steering stops come with the kit, and new tubular inner fender-well panels are included because they are needed to reach the shock adjusters once everything is installed.

What stays the same, and what to check

Global West built this as a swap for the stock front suspension with no frame cutting beyond drilling a handful of mounting holes. Your existing spindles carry over, whether you run drum or disc brakes, and your steering components are unchanged by this kit. Because fitment ties to the Falcon's exact year and the small-block engine bay, confirm both before ordering.

Does this kit replace my brakes or steering? No, standard spindles, brakes, and steering parts carry over; this kit addresses the front A-arms, shocks, and tower structure.

Will I need to cut my fenders or frame? No major cutting is required, though a few mounting holes get drilled and the inner fender-well panels are replaced to reach the shock adjusters.

Performance Installation & Verification Checklist

  • Disconnect vehicle battery ground terminal before installing any electrical, sensor, or powertrain hardware.
  • Inspect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness connectors for secure, leak-free engagement.
  • Calibrate electronic sensors, boost control solenoids, and ECU maps according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Perform initial datalogging check under light load before subjecting vehicle to wide-open throttle.
