Details & Inspection Notes

This Dynacorn 1076P right-hand door shell fits 1970-73 Camaros and is sold individually, covering the full outer door skin and inner shell rather than just a skin panel.

What it is for

Rather than resurfacing an existing panel, this shell gives a car whose right-side door is rusted through, collision-damaged, or missing outright an entirely new outer-and-inner door structure to build from. Because it ships bare and unassembled, pieces such as the hinges, latch mechanism, window regulator, glass, and the interior door panel still have to be pulled off the old door or bought on their own.

Fitting notes

Before final paint, test-fit the shell against the car's door opening, checking the gaps against the fender, rocker, and quarter panel, since reproduction shells sometimes need minor adjustment at the hinge mounts to get an even reveal. It is worth test-hanging the door with its hinges before committing to paint and final hardware installation, so any shimming at the hinge pillar can be done while the panel is still easy to access. Confirm this is the right-hand side before ordering, since door shells are sold individually and are not interchangeable side to side.

Performance Installation & Verification Checklist

  • Disconnect vehicle battery ground terminal before installing any electrical, sensor, or powertrain hardware.
  • Inspect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness connectors for secure, leak-free engagement.
  • Calibrate electronic sensors, boost control solenoids, and ECU maps according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Perform initial datalogging check under light load before subjecting vehicle to wide-open throttle.
