Details & Inspection Notes
This three-phase, 575-volt multiprocess welder handles structural stick work, short-arc MIG passes, and lift-arc TIG alike, rated up to 650 amps continuous from a single power source built smaller and lighter than Miller's previous 575-volt model in this class.
Why it runs smaller
An all-aluminum case resists corrosion over the long run, while a wind-tunnel design routes airflow to keep dirt, dust, and debris away from internal electronics, and a fan-on-demand system only spins up when cooling is actually needed, cutting noise and the amount of contaminated air pulled through the case. Miller lists this unit as 3.5 times lighter and 40 percent smaller than its prior Dimension model, while drawing only 35 amps on 575-volt power, 32 percent less current than that earlier machine.
Fit and power checks
- Requires three-phase, 575-volt service; confirm your shop has that circuit before ordering
- Shipping weight is 158 pounds
- Rated for heavy industrial and industrial use at Career Welder skill level
- Processes covered are flux-cored, MIG, stick, submerged arc, and TIG, all DC polarity
This new machine includes an input-protection feature meant to shield it from unstable incoming power, and Miller covers it for 3 years.
Does this need three-phase power? Yes, and specifically 575-volt three-phase service.
Can it run submerged arc welding? Yes, submerged arc is one of the listed processes alongside stick, MIG, flux-cored, and TIG.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist
- Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
- Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
- Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
- Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
