Details & Inspection Notes
This induction kit pairs the Eddie Meyer Flathead Ford intake manifold with two 9 Super 7 carburetors for a '49-'53 Ford Flathead, a true 2x2 setup where both carburetors are primary rather than one primary and one secondary.
What's included
Beyond the intake and carburetors, the kit comes with air cleaners, a linkage kit, a fuel block, fittings, and red fuel line; assembly is required, and the finished height from the block deck is 16.25 inches. The intake itself runs dual long runners in a 2-piece casting that uses exhaust heat for warm-up, machined from aluminum and built to work with the stock generator mount as well as aftermarket brackets, with carb centers spaced 4-3/4 inches apart.
Before you order
The 9 Super 7 carburetors keep the look of the original Stromberg 97 but update the float, needle, seat, and fuel inlet valve for modern fuel, and every carburetor is individually flow tested and checked for leaks before it ships. These carburetors are not recommended for use with ethanol fuel, so plan your fuel supply accordingly.
Common questions
Do I need to assemble this kit? Yes, assembly is required rather than shipping as one bolted-together unit.
Can I run ethanol-blended fuel through these carburetors? No, the manufacturer does not recommend ethanol fuel with this setup.
