Details & Inspection Notes

No Mustang script on this one: BluePrint's Standard Edition pairs the same 415-horsepower output and 10.0:1 compression with a carburetor rather than fuel injection, bolted to a 4R70W automatic transmission.

Engine side

Valves in the HP9009 aluminum heads, 60cc chambers, open and close on a hydraulic roller camshaft's lobes, above forged I-beam connecting rods and forged pistons. Fuel draws from a 600-cfm carburetor perched on a dual-plane manifold, lit off by a distributor, with the same Mustang-style valve covers and 7-quart oil pan used across this engine family. Black-finish billet pieces cover the front accessory mounts.

Transmission side

This 4-speed overdrive unit is built to handle 650 horsepower and comes with lockup capability, an electronic controller, a stall-speed torque converter, a flexplate, and a starter. First gear runs 2.84:1, dropping to a 0.70:1 overdrive at the top end. BluePrint sells this pairing for 1968-2001 Ford applications, suggests 91-octane fuel and non-synthetic 10W30 oil through break-in, and doesn't design the combination around EGR compatibility.

Carbureted or fuel injected? This Standard Edition runs a carburetor; BluePrint separately lists the same displacement and output paired with EFI and the 4R70W for buyers who'd rather skip the choke.

Does it come with Mustang badging? No, this Standard Edition drops the Mustang script that the other listing carries, though the valve-cover style is shared.
