Details & Inspection Notes

Choose fuel injection over a carburetor and this dressed 383 longblock is the result: output stays at 436 horsepower, 443 pound-feet, with compression still at 10.0:1, and the intake manifold, valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover already installed at the factory.

What ships installed

Aluminum heads and a hydraulic roller cam sit over the cast steel crankshaft and hypereutectic pistons used throughout BluePrint's 383 lineup, built on a new cast iron block that's machined and assembled in the USA, four bolts per main cap. The block carries a one-piece rear seal, a provision for a mechanical fuel pump, and clutch-linkage drilling finished at the factory.

What you still need to add

This package doesn't include a fuel pump, and it's configured to run in fuel-only mode, so plan your fuel delivery accordingly before you try to start it. BluePrint also notes the aftermarket intake here can clash with factory-style brackets that bolt to the intake's own mounting bosses. The company's own recommendation calls for BPP710 break-in oil, a BPP400 harmonic balancer, a torque converter stalling around 2,000 to 2,400 rpm, and 91-octane pump gas, none of which ship in this box. It's not set up for EGR. Coverage runs for 30 months or 50,000 miles.

Is a carburetor included? No; this is sold as a fuel-injected longblock, so budget separately for the EFI hardware it needs to run.
