Details & Inspection Notes

The BP3505CT is BluePrint's bare long block version of its performance 350, good for 390 horsepower at 410 lb-ft of torque with aluminum cylinder heads already installed. It is the starting point of this engine family: valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover ship on, and everything else, intake, carburetor, and distributor, is left for you to choose.

What is built in

BluePrint machines the cast iron block new in the USA, four bolts per main cap, a 4.000-inch bore, and a one-piece rear seal, with a passenger-side dipstick and provision for a mechanical fuel pump if you want one. Compression works out to 9.2:1.

The cylinder heads

Aluminum H8002K heads carry the 2.02-inch intake and 1.60-inch exhaust valves over a 64cc chamber, run by a hydraulic roller camshaft. Every engine ships with its own dyno paperwork, and BluePrint stands behind this long block for 30 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Q: Does this include a carburetor or intake? No, this bare Chevy long block leaves induction and ignition for you to add.

A builder who already owns an intake, carburetor, and distributor from a previous engine, or who would rather pick performance induction parts than accept a stock-style dress, gets the most value from starting here instead of a fully dressed version of this long block.
