Billet Specialties' Tru Trac serpentine system is built for big-block Chevy engines across the 396, 402, 427, 454, 496, and 502 family, arriving with all the attaching hardware and a full installation manual rather than just the brackets.
What's in the system
A Powermaster 1-wire alternator rated up to 105 amps, a reverse-rotation Edelbrock water pump, a Sanden SD-7 compressor, and a Maval power steering pump with AN fittings are all part of the kit. Pulleys and brackets are fully polished, ARP 12-point stainless fasteners hold everything together, and a 6-rib Goodyear Gatorback belt is included to drive it all.
Before you order
This system fits both standard and tall-deck big-block Chevy applications, but not aftermarket tall-deck blocks with a raised camshaft, and it requires a remote power steering fluid reservoir. If your engine uses front-style motor mounts, plan on converting to side mounts before installing this system, and check the published pulley-face distances against your accessory layout before ordering.
Common questions
Does it fit any big-block Chevy? It covers the 396 through 502 family, standard and tall-deck, excluding aftermarket tall-deck blocks with a raised cam.
Is a power steering reservoir included? No, a remote reservoir is required and must be sourced separately.

Startup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect all external gaskets, seals, spark plugs and timing components prior to installation.
- Refill engine oil, transmission gear oil and coolant to manufacturer-specified capacities before initial cranking.
- Prime the lubrication system and verify ECU wiring pinouts, sensors, and ground connections.
- Startup warranty covers internal lubricated components, cylinder heads, and engine block for 30 days from delivery.
