ATK Engines VCM5 87-95 Remanufactured Long Block 350 Crate Engine

ATK's VCM5 is a remanufactured 350 long block built for 87-95 applications, rated for use up to an 8,500 lb. GVW. The core goes through a full teardown, with the heads, block, crank, and cam all remachined and the wearing parts replaced, then every finished unit is individually tested rather than sample-checked.

What the remanufacturing covers

Each engine is pressure-tested, with the water jacket run at 30 lbs. of air pressure to rule out coolant leaks, then spun at 400 RPM with oil lines attached in a final check that reads compression on every cylinder, confirms oil pressure and flow, and lets the rear main seal be checked for leaks before it ships. This engine uses four-bolt main caps and a 1-piece rear seal, with the valve cover bolts running through the center of the cover rather than around the edge.
