Details & Inspection Notes
This Dynacorn 1462Y floor pan is a complete replacement assembly for 1968-69 Chevelle and GTO models, built to save labor over sourcing and fitting each floor section separately.
What comes with it
- Floor pan sections, including the area under the rear seat
- Support braces covering the front, the center, and the rear of the floor
- Rocker panels
Because the braces and rockers are included alongside the floor sections, a shop or DIY builder can weld in one assembly instead of piecing together separate floor, brace, and rocker panels, which is where most of the labor savings on a full floor replacement comes from.
What to check before welding it in
As with any full floor-pan swap, test-fit the assembly against the car's existing rocker panels, firewall, and seat risers before any cutting or welding, since reproduction floor sections sometimes need trimming to match a particular car's remaining original metal. Mark the location of seat mounting bolts, seatbelt anchor points, and the transmission tunnel relief against the old floor before it comes out, so those reference points are not lost once the original pan is removed. Because this assembly already includes the support braces and rockers, there is no need to source those separately, which also keeps the structural bracing consistent across the whole repair rather than mixing old and new sections.
Performance Installation & Verification Checklist
- Disconnect vehicle battery ground terminal before installing any electrical, sensor, or powertrain hardware.
- Inspect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness connectors for secure, leak-free engagement.
- Calibrate electronic sensors, boost control solenoids, and ECU maps according to manufacturer instructions.
- Perform initial datalogging check under light load before subjecting vehicle to wide-open throttle.
