Details & Inspection Notes
Yamaha's 2018 F350NCC Offshore, a 5.3-liter V8 carrying model code F350XCC, builds on the same 25-inch shaft and 350 prop-shaft horsepower as the earlier F350, but adds a Tri-Seal cowling latch aimed at keeping saltwater spray out of the lower pan on big offshore hulls.
What sets this one apart
Eight forged pistons and oversized valves carry the load, and the mounting bracket uses six bolts rather than four to cut vibration at the transom. Dry weight is 763 lbs, so check transom rating and bracket hardware before rigging. It ships in grey, with white listed as an additional color option, and Yamaha rates it for salt water use.
Electronics and control
A 50-amp alternator covers house and engine electronics, steering is digital rather than cable, and the engine works with Yamaha's Command Link Plus and Helm Master systems for multi-engine setups. The gearcase runs a 1.73:1 ratio, cooling is thermostatically controlled, and trim moves from -3 to +16 degrees with tilt reaching 67 degrees. TCI microcomputer ignition manages spark across the rev range.
What oil does it take? Yamalube 4M, with the wet sump holding 6.5 liters with a filter or 6.3 liters without. Does it run on premium fuel? No, it is rated for regular unleaded, which keeps running costs down for a V8 this size. Is there a factory warranty card included? Yes, Yamaha ships one with the motor.
