Details & Inspection Notes
The F250UCA is the long-shaft build of this digitally controlled V6, sized for a taller transom and settling at 575 lbs dry on a 30-inch shaft, running the same 4169cc block and electronics found elsewhere in this family.
Shaft and fitment
Measure carefully before ordering: a 30-inch shaft only fits a taller transom, and swapping shaft length later means swapping the whole motor rather than a quick adjustment. A digital-ready helm is still required for the control side, and tilt on this version reaches 67 degrees.
Reliability features
A patented shift dampener softens each gear change to quiet shifting. Trolling speed on this trim can be fine-tuned well below normal idle for working bait slowly. Cooling draws from more than one inlet point around the lower unit rather than a single pickup, which Yamaha credits with steadier flow across different running angles, and alternator output tops out around 70 amps. Boats that need the longer leg here usually have a raised transom or a jackplate already fitted, so double-check that before assuming this is the right shaft for you, since the shorter version in this family is far more common on stock transoms and far easier to find a bracket for.
Coverage here runs three years under pleasure or government use, dropping to a single year for commercial duty. Confirm shaft length and rigging compatibility with us before ordering.
