Details & Inspection Notes
Where the F200XCA above runs digital electronics, the F200XA keeps a cable-and-lever setup on the same 3.3-liter V6, rated 200 hp and carrying 608 lbs of dry weight on a 25-inch shaft. It suits boats that never had digital wiring run to the helm in the first place.
Why this configuration
Pick this trim if your console is already wired for remote mechanical steering rather than a digital helm; retrofitting digital electronics onto an older boat usually costs more than the price gap between the two engine versions. Bore and stroke measure 94 by 80.5mm, and the gear set reduces at 2.00:1.
Reliability features
A single-belt drive system with an automatic tensioner cuts down on parts needing regular adjustment, and a variable trolling feature lets you hold speed steady at low rpm in fine steps from the gauges, useful for working a shoreline at a consistent pace. Six fuel injectors sit just above the intake valves, and camshaft timing shifts to add torque in the lower rpm band for a quicker time-to-plane. The alternator is rated 44 amps, and sealed cowl latches keep spray and debris away from the electronics underneath.
Pleasure and government buyers each get three years of coverage under Yamaha's standard terms; commercial buyers get one. Confirm your rigging and control-cable compatibility with us before ordering, and ask about matching a prop if yours isn't included with this order.
