Details & Inspection Notes
Trim code F200XCA marks Yamaha's inline-four take on the 200-hp class: a 2785cc, 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder that Yamaha positions as its lightest DOHC design at this output, 489 lbs dry on a 25-inch shaft.
Controls and steering
Helm electronics on this build run Yamaha's digital network rather than cables, so check that your console and binnacle are wired for it before committing to this engine. The bolt pattern and 26-inch mounting centers were sized to line up with many older two-stroke repower jobs, and tilt covers a full 70 degrees with trim moving from -4 to +16 degrees.
Power and feed
Bore and stroke measure 96 by 96.2mm, with a 1.86:1 gear ratio and exhaust exiting through the propeller. The alternator is rated up to 50 amps for running several onboard electronics together, induction is EFI, and oil capacity holds 4.5 liters with a filter fitted or 4.3 without. The motor is rated for fresh and salt water, and a built-in freshwater flush fitting simplifies rinsing between trips without needing to start the engine.
Common questions
What's the warranty term? Pleasure coverage runs three years, commercial coverage runs one, per Yamaha's published terms for this model.
Will it suit a repower? Its mounting centers and bolt pattern are sized for many prior two-stroke installs, though confirm your specific fit before ordering.
