This single-cylinder engine was built in Japan for the 2018 model year under SKU 6MH-18, with a 2.32 x 1.77-inch bore and stroke and a 2.15:1 gear ratio. Full throttle runs 5000 to 6000 rpm through a carbureted fuel system fed by an internal 0.3-gallon (1.15-liter) tank, and the engine carries a saltwater rating.

Shift is forward-neutral-reverse through a front-mounted lever, steering is by tiller, and trim and tilt are both manual. An optional 12-volt, 4-amp, 50-watt alternator can be added later if you need to charge a battery, though it requires separate installation.
