Details & Inspection Notes

Model code C150FXH is Evinrude's G2 150, a High Output 150 HP V6 finished in slate gray, built with integrated digital shift and throttle plus i-Trim that sets running angle on its own.

What the G2 platform adds

This V6 displaces 2744 cc, its bore and stroke measuring 3.386 by 3.1 inches, on a 25-inch shaft, running up to 6,000 RPM, down to 5,000, through 2.17:1 gearing. Dry weight is 541 pounds. Dynamic power steering is built into the midsection here rather than added on afterward as a separate unit.

Trim window and rigging

Trim travel on this engine is -6 to 15 degrees, separate from an 81-degree tilt range at the top of its motion. A 25-inch shaft needs a taller transom than Evinrude's smaller outboards, so confirm that measurement before ordering, and note that the digital shift-and-throttle rigging replaces mechanical cable entirely.

Power supply and coverage

Fourteen amps are available at idle, out of an alternator rated for 133 amps total with 50 set aside net dedicated, and the on-engine tank holds 3 gallons of Evinrude/Johnson XD-100. New-engine coverage here runs 5 years against engine defects and another 5 against corrosion, with BRP layering on a 3-year limited plan plus 2 years of extended BRP service terms.

Is trim set by hand? No, i-Trim handles it automatically as you run.
