Details & Inspection Notes

This driver-side rear quarter panel with sail is a reproduction for a 1970-1972 Nova, produced by Dynacorn using new, factory-matched tooling, covering the full LH quarter and the sail panel section in one piece.

Who it suits

Anyone rebuilding the rear quarter of a 1970-1972 Nova where rust, collision damage or prior patch panels have left the original metal unusable will get a full driver-side section rather than a partial patch to blend in.

Fit and installation

Dynacorn has produced sheet metal, trim and molding for classic muscle cars since 1984, and builds this quarter panel to line up with the factory seams on a 1970-1972 Nova. Expect to trial-fit, trim and weld it in, as with any full quarter panel replacement.

Which side does this panel cover? The driver side (LH), including the sail panel.

What years does it fit? 1970 through 1972 Nova.

Like any full quarter panel, test-fit the leading and trailing edges against the rocker, wheel lip and sail area before committing to final welds or paint.

Performance Installation & Verification Checklist

  • Disconnect vehicle battery ground terminal before installing any electrical, sensor, or powertrain hardware.
  • Inspect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness connectors for secure, leak-free engagement.
  • Calibrate electronic sensors, boost control solenoids, and ECU maps according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Perform initial datalogging check under light load before subjecting vehicle to wide-open throttle.
