Details & Inspection Notes

Where the RS model is steered remotely, the Cruise 3.0 TL puts control on a tiller handle, built on a 30-inch long shaft with electric start and a motor weight of 45 lbs, still rated at the 6 hp equivalent Torqeedo gives the whole 3.0 series. It targets the same dinghy and sailboat hulls up to 3 tons.

What ships, and what you add

In the box: the bare outboard, a cable set and main switch, a propeller sized to the motor, and a magnetic emergency stop key that cuts power as soon as it comes loose. Neither the battery nor a charger comes bundled in; both are purchased on their own, and the shaft length cannot change after the fact, so measuring first matters.

Power options

A single Power 24-3500 lithium battery, weighing 56 lbs, is the pack Torqeedo recommends, though lead-gel or AGM lead batteries also work if that fits your setup better. Mounting needs nothing more than a couple of ordinary hand tools.

Shaft length and fit

At 30 inches this is the longer of the two shaft options Torqeedo offers on the Cruise 3.0, built for transoms sitting higher than average; measure yours before committing to this length over the shorter alternative, since the two are not interchangeable once purchased.

Coverage? IP67 keeps water out, and the warranty covers 2 years of non-commercial operation.
