The Cruise 10 TXL shares the Cruise 10 TS's 20 hp-equivalent, 48-volt platform and tiller steering, but on an extra-long 25-inch shaft, which pushes motor weight to 139 lbs, the heaviest tiller option in Torqeedo's Cruise 10 range.

Why the extra-long shaft matters

At 25 inches, this shaft suits transoms too tall for the standard Cruise 10 to keep its propeller properly submerged, and that extra length is most of the added weight compared with shorter Cruise 10 motors. The helical-gear pylon and GPS-linked display carry over unchanged from the rest of the range.

Instrumentation and build

Speed, power draw, state of charge, and remaining range all show on the onboard display, fed by the motor's built-in GPS, and the housing carries an IP67 waterproof rating suited to regular use. Torqeedo rates this motor for boats up to 10 tons.

Battery planning

Batteries and charger are not included; plan for two Power 48-5000 lithium packs, sold separately, or lead-acid batteries, noting that lead-acid use disables the capacity readout. This extra-long shaft is a measurement worth double-checking against your own transom before the rest of the order goes in.
