Tohatsu 5HP | MFS5DLPGS

The Tohatsu MFS5DLPGS is a new 5 hp, single-cylinder, 123 cc four-stroke outboard motor on a 15-inch short shaft, with tiller steering and manual start. It weighs 60 lbs and runs 5000-6000 rpm at full throttle. It is the alternative-fuel version of Tohatsu's MFS5 portable: in place of a gasoline tank it has a fuel line that connects to a customer-supplied LPG (propane) cylinder, so there is no gasoline or ethanol in the fuel system to manage on a sailboat or tender.

What is included

The motor ships fully assembled with the propeller, the fuel line hose, a stop-switch lanyard, a service tool kit and the owner's manual. No fuel and no fuel cylinder are included or sold with this motor.

Who it suits

Sailboat auxiliaries, dinghies and tenders where a small, light motor with minimal fuel-system maintenance is the priority.
