Taking the place of separate MIG, DC stick, and AC/DC TIG machines, the Multimatic 220 AC/DC (907757) ships ready to run all three right out of the crate. Miller's QuickTech setup senses polarity on its own and swaps processes the moment you pull the trigger or step on the pedal, so there is no panel to adjust mid-job.

What it is rated to weld

MIG covers 24 gauge up to 3/8-inch steel and 18 gauge up to 3/8-inch aluminum; DC stick runs 16 gauge up to 3/8-inch steel; AC/DC TIG handles 24 gauge up to 1/4-inch steel and aluminum. Dual gas connections let MIG and TIG shielding gas stay plumbed in together, and a color display guides setup for each process as you switch.

Before buying

Both AC and DC output mean this unit also covers aluminum TIG, not just steel. A 14-pin port accepts an add-on pedal, fingertip, or cordless remote if your work calls for one. TIG adjustability spans AC balance from 60 to 80 percent, AC frequency from 60 to 150 Hz, and DC pulse up to 150 pulses per second. Swapping between 120V and 240V service is a matter of picking the matching plug end, no wrench or screwdriver required.

What is in the crate

The power source arrives with its gun, torch, pedal, two flow regulators, wire and tips, a drive roll, a torch kit, and a thickness gauge already included, so there is no separate accessory order to place afterward.
