Details & Inspection Notes
Pairing a MIG/TIG/stick inverter with a plasma cutter, this bundle puts a Multimatic 215 Auto-Set welder and a Spectrum 625 X-treme cutter in one order, aimed at a small fab shop or home builder who wants both jobs covered without a second purchase later. The welder power source alone weighs 38 pounds.
Why two machines together
Running MIG, TIG, and stick from the welder plus plasma cutting from the Spectrum 625 means fewer gaps in capability: cut a part, then weld it, on the same bench. Eight extra accessories round the bundle out rather than leaving you to hunt down a cart or a TIG kit afterward.
Unpacking the carton
On the welding side you get the power source, a gun and cable assembly for MIG, a work lead and clamp, an argon and argon/CO2 flow gauge regulator with hose, a wire spool, spare tips, a drive roll, a gas solenoid valve, and a thickness gauge. The Spectrum 625 brings its own power source, a 20-foot hand torch, a 20-foot work clamp cable, a cord with multi-voltage plugs, a case, and a consumables box (electrodes, tips, a deflector, an air fitting). Added on top: a DC-only TIG kit, a cart, a Spoolmate 150 spool gun, a cover, a roller guide, a consumables kit sized for the cutter, a stand, and extra-large gloves.
Before you plug anything in
Both machines switch between 120V and 240V without tools, so match that against your outlets first. Decide which welding process you expect to run most, since the wire diameter and drive roll that ship in the box are set up for one of the three. Keep the included cover handy once the welder is in place; it is sized for this pairing rather than a generic fit.
Do MIG and TIG gas lines need to be swapped between jobs? No — the welder is designed to keep both connected and switch by setting, not by re-plumbing.
Can the plasma cutter run from the same outlet as the welder? It has its own cord and plugs, so it does not need to share a circuit, though both expect 120V or 240V service.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist
- Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
- Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
- Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
- Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
