Details & Inspection Notes
The Bobcat 200 Air Pak pairs a 19 HP Kubota D722 diesel with a built-in 30 CFM rotary-screw air compressor and battery charge/crank-assist, three systems a work-truck operator would otherwise carry separately. Miller trimmed the footprint enough to cut up to 600 lbs compared with competing truck-mounted setups, while DC Stick welding still reaches 210 amps and the generator side delivers 6,500 continuous watts.
Three systems, one engine
Auto-Speed technology matches engine RPM to whatever the welder, compressor, or battery charger is actually demanding at that moment, which Miller says cuts fuel use, maintenance intervals, and noise compared with running at a fixed speed. Crank-assist current reaches 100 amps DC for charging a 12- or 24-volt battery directly, and climbs as high as 300 amps when jobsite equipment with a weak battery needs a jump to get started.
Compressor numbers
- 30 CFM at 3,600 RPM, 20 CFM at idle
- Working pressure 80-175 PSI, automatic shutdown at 200 PSI
- Powers most 3/4″ impact wrenches on demand, no recovery tank needed
Cold-weather readiness on the Diesel comes from a standard engine block heater paired with a 7-gallon fuel tank. Miller lists the complete unit at 618 lbs, with sound levels of 66 dB at idle and 73 dB at high speed, and backs it with a manufacturer's warranty.
Does the compressor need to recover before more air is needed? No, the rotary-screw design supplies air on demand without a recovery pause. How much crank-assist current is available? Up to 100 amps for direct battery charging, or up to 300 amps of crank assist for jobsite equipment with a weak battery.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist
- Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
- Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
- Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
- Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
