Miller Big Blue 800 Duo Air Pak Welder/Generator W/Arcreach (907752)

The Big Blue 800 Duo Air Pak is built for two welders at once: 800 amps DC when one operator needs it all, or a 400-amp split between two separate arcs working side by side off the same Deutz diesel engine. An Ingersoll Rand rotary-screw compressor rides along, rated for a 30,000-hour service life, delivering up to 100 PSI and 60 CFM with an on/off clutch so it is not running when compressed air is not needed.

Engine and fuel

The Deutz TD2.9 L4 is a turbocharged, four-cylinder, Tier 4-compliant diesel with a 120V block heater and a 25-gallon fuel tank, built to run long shifts between fill-ups on a crew site. Its electronic display keeps fuel, engine hours, coolant warmth, oil pressure, battery health, and RPM in view together, flagging the next oil change before it sneaks up on the crew.

• Generator peaks near 27,000 watts three-phase, 15,000 watts single-phase

ArcReach pairing lets an operator change weld settings from the feeder without a control cord, as long as it is paired with an ArcReach-compatible device. A vandalism lockout panel protects the controls when the machine is left unattended, and at 2,095 lbs it mounts on a truck or trailer. Miller builds these to order, so plan on a two-to-three week lead time, and the unit carries a manufacturer's warranty for Career Welder-level heavy industrial work.
