Details & Inspection Notes

Stepping up from the 256 package, this Power MIG 260 (K3520-1) adds a wider input voltage range and a new 7-inch color display, delivering 300A of output for shops that need one MIG and flux-cored machine to cover multiple power setups.

What sets it apart

Lincoln's ArcFX technology is built to flag weld mistakes as they happen rather than after inspection, shown right on the new color graphic interface. An angled gun connection is designed to improve feedability on longer runs, and a Coil Claw keeps cables organized at the station instead of tangled on the floor. Two 115V front power outlets put auxiliary power within reach without running an extension cord across the shop.

Power and duty cycle

Input runs anywhere from 208 to 575V on single-phase, 60 Hz service, which makes this machine workable across shops with very different electrical setups. Rated at a 40% duty cycle at 250A, with wire feed speed up to 700 IPM, it's built as a MIG and flux-cored machine rather than a multi-process unit. At 247 lbs and roughly 37.3 by 18 by 40.4 inches, it's shop equipment rather than something carried to a job site daily.

Common questions

What welding processes does it cover? MIG and flux-cored only, at up to 300A output. What input voltages does it accept? 208 through 575V, single-phase, 60 Hz, which covers most shop and light-industrial services without a separate transformer.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist

  • Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
  • Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
  • Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
  • Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
