Details & Inspection Notes

Lincoln packages this version of the Power MIG 140 MP, called the TIG One-Pak (K4499-1), with a torch and foot control already in the box, so the DC TIG side of this 35 lb, 120V multi-process machine is ready to use on mild steel or stainless without a separate order.

What this pak adds over the base unit

A 12.5-foot, air-cooled torch and a wired foot control ship with this package specifically, letting an operator move into DC TIG right away. Aluminum is still out of reach here, since the TIG circuit is DC only; that work would need the SG100 spoolgun, which isn't part of either the base or this TIG-equipped version.

How the welder works

Fresh from the box it handles MIG and stick welding up to 3/16 inch material in a single pass, drawing about 20A from a 110-120V line. Drive rolls swap without tools, and two-knob control keeps setup fast, one button selects the process, and a gun-selector switch swaps between the included MIG gun and an optional spool gun. The twist connectors are built heavier than standard, aimed at shops that use the machine daily rather than occasionally.

Common questions

Does the TIG side come ready to strike an arc? The torch and foot control are both included; tungsten and other consumables are typically a separate pickup. What's in the box beyond the torch? The MIG gun, electrode holder, work clamp, and gas regulator, each with its own lead or hose, a starter spool of wire, and a few spare drive-roll parts.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist

  • Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
  • Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
  • Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
  • Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
