Details & Inspection Notes
Rather than sell the bare power source, this Aspect 230 Air-Cooled One-Pak (K4341-1) bundles Lincoln's 230A AC/DC TIG machine with everything needed to start welding, torch included, so there's nothing extra to track down before striking an arc.
What's in the pak
Beyond the power source, the box holds a foot pedal (K870) and an air-cooled torch from the 26 Series, 25 feet long with its consumables attached. A gas regulator paired with a flow gauge rounds out the shielding-gas side, a ground clamp on a 15-foot lead handles the work connection, and the torch itself locks onto its cable through a twist-mate fitting that needs no tools.
What the welder does
Peak output is 230A, with a 35% duty cycle rating up there, and the machine handles stock up to 1/4 inch thick. Aluminum work gets four selectable AC wave shapes: Soft Square, Sine, Square, and Triangular, each trading off puddle control, arc sound, travel speed, and heat input differently. The power supply self-adjusts across a 120-460 volt range at 50 or 60 Hz, whether the shop runs single- or three-phase service, and AC Auto Balance sets the cleaning-to-penetration ratio automatically. Nine welding procedures can sit in saved memory at once.
Common questions
Is this ready to weld right out of the box? Yes, the torch, pedal, regulator, and ground lead all ship with the power source. Does it handle aluminum? Yes, through its AC wave shapes and auto balance circuit. This package is labeled under California's Proposition 65 rule, as welding gear commonly is.

Welding Equipment Setup & Pre-Operation Checklist
- Verify workshop mains voltage, circuit breaker rating, and phase match the welding machine specifications.
- Inspect ground clamp cable, torch lead, and work cables for tight, clean, low-resistance connections.
- Secure shielding gas cylinders upright with safety chains; inspect regulator and hose connections for gas leaks.
- Confirm correct wire diameter, drive roll groove profile, and contact tip size match the spool installed.
