Details & Inspection Notes

This is a used JDM Mitsubishi 4G63T engine, the turbocharged, two-liter inline-4 that debuted in the 1988 Galant VR-4 and went on to power the Lancer Evolution, Eclipse and Talon/Laser platforms, pulled from a Japanese import with roughly 51,000 km on it.

What's included

Turbo and fuel-side components here cover the turbocharger itself, the intake and exhaust manifolds, fuel rail with injectors and the throttle body. On the driveline side, the flywheel is paired with its clutch and a separate pressure plate, while the ECU, distributor, alternator, starter, engine wiring harness and power steering pump round out the package, along with the head and block pictured with the unit.

What makes this engine distinct

The 4G63T is known for its reliability under boost and an unusually large aftermarket parts catalog, a big part of why it remains a popular turbo swap even outside its original Mitsubishi chassis; factory output and torque figures vary by application across the 4G63T's production run, so confirm the exact tune for this unit with us before ordering if your build targets a specific power number.

Who it suits

It suits a Mitsubishi swap or replacement project where a turbocharged four-cylinder with wide aftermarket support matters, and it's commonly chosen for builds that plan to run more boost than the factory turbo delivered.

Common questions

Was this engine checked over before listing? Yes, it was screened and compression tested.

Does it include the turbocharger? Yes, the turbocharger is included as part of this package.
