2018 Tohatsu 6 Hp MFS6CS Outboard Motor

Tohatsu's biggest single-cylinder outboard is this new 2018 MFS6CS: 6 hp on a 15-inch short shaft, tiller steering, manual start, built around a 123cc four-stroke block. A 3.1-gallon external fuel tank with a quick-connect line is included.

What is built in

Zinc-coated internal passages and marine-grade construction guard this engine against saltwater corrosion, and it carries a saltwater rating to match. A sealed digital ignition module, a warning light for low oil pressure, and a built-in rpm cutout round out the electronics. An integrated carrying handle makes it easy to move by hand, the gear shift selector is forward-mounted, and the throttle is twist-grip with tension control.
