Details & Inspection Notes

This 2018 Suzuki 50 HP DF50A is a DOHC, 12-valve, three-cylinder four-stroke on the same 57.4 cubic inch (941 cc) block architecture as Suzuki's smaller inline motors, tuned up to 50 HP and finished in Pearl Nebular Black.

Lean burn and troll mode

Suzuki's lean burn control system adjusts the fuel mixture to stretch range at cruising speed, and a troll mode system is built in to help hold a steady slow speed for trolling rather than hunting up and down on its own. This engine's operating range tops out between 5300 and 6300 rpm, which is a touch higher than the smaller three-cylinder motors in this lineup.

In the box

Suzuki packs in a 3.1-gallon fuel tank with fuel line, an owner's manual, an aluminum propeller and a tool kit, alongside the 3-year warranty on the engine.

Controls and charging

Remote steering is standard, with a 2.27 to 1 gear ratio sending power to the propeller and a 12-volt, 19-amp alternator keeping the electrical system charged while running. Power trim and tilt adjust running angle from the console rather than by a hand lever.

Does it have a dedicated trolling mode? Yes, Suzuki's troll mode system helps hold a steady slow speed. What model year is this listing? 2018. Is the cowling color fixed? This unit is finished in Pearl Nebular Black.
